Exploring Gender Disparities and Advancements in Transcatheter Structural Heart Interventions
Guest Editors: Dr Mirvat Alasnag, Dr Lina Ya’Qoub and Dr Hind AlOsaimi
The aim of this special focus is to highlight the gaps in knowledge, disparities in care and differences in the demographics, risk factors, procedural success and long-term outcomes in women undergoing transcatheter heart valve therapies. We hope to expand on adjunctive heart failure therapy, other device therapies and rehabilitation in patients with structural heart diseases.
