Overview

The event is hosted by Beatriz Vaquerizo, Hospital del Mar, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, ES and José M de la Torre Hernández, Hospital Universitario Marques de Valdecilla, IDIVAL, Santander, ES with an expert studio panel, broadcast live from Barcelona.

Two live cases from Johannesburg, ZA and Rotterdam, NL focused on the challenges of Low-Contrast PCI and treatment of Calcific Left Main Bifurcations

LIVE CASE #1 Farrel Hellig, Sunninghill Hospital, Johannesburg, ZA and Julian Strange, Bristol, UK focus on the treatment of Calcific Left Main Bifurcation.

The case learning points are:

  •  Modern PCI in left main bifurcation: IVUS guidance for lesion assessment and optimization
  •  Provisional stenting in the left main: how to deal with a challenging angulation of the circumflex artery
  •  Rotational atherectomy in bifurcations and the new RotaWire Drive

James Spratt, St George’s University Hospital NHS Trust, London, UK discusses how Imaging and in particular IVUS helps safe, effective, and durable PCI in a very interesting presentation.

LIVE CASE #2 | Rotterdam, NL Nicolas Van Meighem, Thoraxcenter, Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, NL and Robert Diletti, Thoraxcenter, Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, NL demonstrate Low-contrast PCI: the fundamental role of IVUS guidance

The case learning points are:

  • Low-contrast PCI: the fundamental role of IVUS guidance
  • DCBs in the treatment of in-stent restenosis
  • The new frontier of technology in e-proctoring and remote support: The Smart Glasses

Barbara Stähli, University Hospital Zurich, CH presents on how to ensure procedural success, how to avoid/minimise complications and achieving good long-term outcomes.
