CRT 2024 — Prof Patrick W Serruys (National University of Ireland, Galway, US) joins us to discuss learning from the SYNTAX trial.

The SYNTAX trial is a randomized controlled trial designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with polymer-based paclitaxel-eluting TAXUS stents versus coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) in patients with complex coronary disease.

Interview Questions:
1. How has the SYNTAX trial informed practice over the years?
2. What was the focus of your presentation at CRT 24?
3. How is machine learning utilized in risk prediction?
4. What does the future of predicting risk in this patient population look like?

Recorded remotely from Galway, 2024.
